What is the hiring process?

Call us at 412-956-7762 to discuss your hiring needs. From that point on you will be able to work with Donta and seasoned professionals to identify the right candidate from TIP for your company. 

What will their skill level be?

Every student that graduates TIP has completed ten weeks of intensive masonry training. During that time seasoned tradesmen have assessed each students talent level working with the tools and materials. We place each student with employer partners based on that assessment. Detailed men and women go into detailed trade apprenticeships. (Tile setters, painters, trim carpenters ect.) Others may qualify as laborers for any of the trades. We encourage all employers to come in for a tour of TIP’s training space to see the talent first hand and even meet the students.

What are the benefits for my business?

Hiring a graduate of TIP affords our graduates a chance to start a career to build solid lives. You will be getting solid talent, willing to work hard to gain the knowledge it will take to become journeyman and be an asset to your company.

Will the new employee be able to pass a criminal background check?

Approximately 80% of TIP’s graduates are returning to society from incarceration and looking for a chance to reintegrate back into society to become productive family men and women rebuilding community.
